With the 2025-26 season in Europe complete, a number of managers have been relieved of their duties or have resigned, and are seeking a new job during the offseason. These managers include the following:
Massimiliano Allegri, from Serie A club AC Milan;
Bruno Genesio, from Ligue 1 club LOSC Lille;
Oliver Glasner, from Premier League (EPL) club Crystal Palace;
Pep Guardiola, from EPL club Manchester City;
Andoni Iraola, from EPL club AFC Bournemouth;
Vincenzo Italiano, from Serie A club Bologna FC;
Marcelino, from LaLiga club Villarreal CF;
Maurizio Sarri, from Serie A club SS Lazio; and
Ernesto Valverde, from LaLiga club Athletic Club.
Others include interim or caretaker managers who were brought in — either from outside or from within the club — to lead the team until the end of the season. Several notable interim managers who may now seek a permanent manager position include Alvaro Arbeloa and Calum McFarlane, who were interim managers at LaLiga club Real Madrid and EPL club Chelsea FC, respectively. Marie Louise Eta, who was hired as interim manager at Bundesliga club Union Berlin and became the first woman to manage a (men’s) club from one of Europe’s top five leagues (see list of leagues below), also left her interim role.

*Ligue 1 also includes AS Monaco, which are based in the Principality of Monaco.
**The EPL may include a number of clubs from Wales. These clubs, which currently participate in one of the English Football League’s top four divisions, include EFL Championship clubs Swansea City and Wrexham AFC, EFL League One club Cardiff City and EFL League Two club Newport County. That said, there are no Welsh clubs competing in the EPL for the 2025-26 season.
